A Life for the Love of Music
With the passage of time, perspective begins to lengthen on the life unfolding behind me; with this has come the realization that, while myriad other things were and are taking place all around, music has been and continues to be essential and central to my life and well-being. It is the gift I have received and that I have to offer. With this, has come a deep and growing appreciation for the efforts of others and an appreciation for every opportunity to share with others in all forms and styles of music.

Perfection is a ProcessPerfection is found in the process of engaging in the pursuit of perfection, which of course, in and of itself, is unattainable. Yet one need not aspire to or presume upon the perfection of God to pursue the unattainable perfection in music enthusiastically and in the way that is most desirable. In doing this, we embrace our relationship to music and accept and appreciate that there are as many perspectives on music as there are views.
In all, the joy is in the doing. The practice of music is working at playing. One can practice music in the same way one practices yoga or practices a religion. The regular repetition of familiar things leads to deepening understanding and command of the familiar and, ultimately, the discovery of new experiences.
