Laurie
Turley has been making music since she was a child when her family spent evenings around the piano singing.
She
has seen all sides of life: growing up on a farm, acting in New York
city, teaching music to kids in both the inner city and public schools
of rural Maine, as well as raising two children of her own with Ken,
her husband of twenty years. She is a lover of nature, a beekeeper
and gardener, and all life's experiences can be heard in the beauty
of her perceptive, poignant and often humorous lyrics. |

The
Starling
- "...[The
colors]...were mountain blue and silver with a spark of emerald green
Golden as the heavens where this starling took its name
Purple as the shimmer of a royal maiden's gown
And raven as the branches of the evening settling down..."
January Snow
- " ...In
the January Snow, you appeared at my door
I didn't dare let go, but something felt secure
I
laid awake at night and asked the stars, 'Could this be right?'
Until my heart in its delight called out your name...
It's you, it's you, it's you....I love."
